Candle Care

Proper care for your candle ensures a safe burn and extends the life and quality of your candle.

Before Burning

Prior to burning your candle, trim the wick at least ¼ inch.
Place the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. This will also help prevent possible heat damage to counters and table surfaces, and prevent glass containers from cracking or breaking.
Avoid placement near drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.

While Burning

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
During your first burn, allow candle to reach a full melt pool before extinguishing to avoid tunneling.
Keep wax pool free of debris at all times.
Never burn a candle all the way down. Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom. Excessive burning may cause glass to crack.
Never burn a candle near flammable objects. Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.
Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
